This work shows USS New Jersey, the most decorated ship in the Navy, returning to her home waters to become a memorial on Veteran’s Day 1999.

James served on USS New Jersey as Quarter Master (QM2) during the Vietnam War and was instrumental in assisting the committee and foundation that made it possible for the battleship to travel from Bremerton, Washington to the Delaware River in Camden, New Jersey where she is now permanently berthed.
